A New Beginning

It may look like all hope is gone, and there is no one that you can depend on. It may appear that you are all alone in the wilderness. But know that sometimes God has to put you aside in order for him to work on you, and you alone.

The seed that he has planted in you has to be cultivated and developed to full term. Though it seems that it's taking way to long, and your patience runs short, God has his hand on you, and he knows exactly the time and the season for your new beginning. Be encouraged this day, and know that God loves you....he really does.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and go and pray to me, and I will listen to you, and you will seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:11

Prayer Changes Things!

God is truly a good God! My son has not yet returned home, but I know that he is alive and in God's care. That's all that I can hope for at this point.

My daughter has been now accepted into 6 schools of the 8 that she applied to! Wesleyan University, Spelman, are at that top of her selection process.

The balance of God is truly amazing. Regardless of the chaos that is currently taking place in my entire family. God's Word still stands true and is very much an anchor for us all.

I Corinthians Chapter 10: Verse "13":

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Prayer is a way of escape, for it free's our minds to trust in God.

Spelman Bound...

My Daughter Was Accepted To Spelman College on Thursday March 23rd, 2006!

She is a true miracle, God has blessed her to overcome many obstacles, including being diagnosed with cancer at the age of 8! She's indeed a testimony.

Remember, that God is a wonderful God, and that he never puts on you more then you can bare.

I've designed a prayer journal that testifies to the Glory of God in her life, and mine. This prayer journal has 30 wonderful scriptures that remind us to hold on to the Word of God.

God Is In Control...

On March 23rd, 2006, my son was abducted, not by a known enemy, but by one in whom I loved. My heart sinks within me, my soul weeps, but I will yet hope in the Lord.

It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is his faithfulness.

The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

Lamentations 3:22-25

To Believe or Not To Believe...

Now, that's a loaded question. After all the trials and tribulations that I've been through, should I believe that there is a God, or should I not. Well, if i decide not to believe, then it would not make any sense whatsoever, for if I doubt that there is a God, then how would I breathe. For then, where would my breath come from.

According to: Genesis 2:7 — And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Well, there you have it.. I choose to believe, as I continue to breathe.
